Probably my favorite WWII movie. George C. Scott nailed Patton as the ambitious hero steeped in the classics who was trying to follow in the footsteps of the great military leaders of the past--Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Napoleon.
Great supporting role also by Karl Malden as General Bradley.
