Maybe not the best movie I've ever seen, but surely my favorite film of all time. Of all the characters in cinema history, Patton is the character I identify with the most. George C. Scott's performance as General Patton is the greatest male performance ever.
There is not a second on the screen where Scott looks like he is acting. Every scene, every set looks realistic. This is a monumental achievement in acting, directing, writing, musical score, production, and editing.
