Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Michael C — 12 Oct 2011
A bravura early masterpiece from Stanley Kubrick detailing the troubling politics that can arise from a wartime setting. This was a film that really rested on me well after I concluded watching it, and the climax in particular created a very real twist in my chest, which is the hallmark of a compelling, intense filmmaker.
