Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Bubbs R — 15 Jun 2017
Stanley Kubrick made many interesting artistic films in his life. I never knew this film was from Stanley Kubrick until I watched it. Paths Of Glory is a beautiful interesting anti War film. "After refusing to attack an enemy position, a general accuses the soldiers of cowardice and their commanding officer must defend them." Paths Of Glory is an interesting look at War. It shows how fast people pointed fingers in a time of war. Kirk Douglas is an excellent actor and he doesn't fail in this film. Douglas is a very believable Colonial. The rest of the cast were believable as the soldiers. This film had cool cinematography. Some interesting shots. The film was tense and had some meat war scenes. The ending message is also very powerful. A message that is important to life and living peacefully. Overall, an excellent war film showing how war is not the answer. .
Rating:8.3/10.
