Perhaps it was the very first Indian movie that got international recognition.I have seen this movie twice as an adolescent and an adult,but my craze and respect for this movie never diminishes.Hats off to Satyajit Ray for this classic.
Tells the story of a young boy Apu,who hails from a very poor family.Historically this movie is very much influenced by feminine in Bengal in 1940's.
If you are looking for entertainment than its not a good movie as it tells the darker side of life.
