Ray's directorial debut brings into life the heart wrenching story of a simple family going through tough times. Driven by strong performances and beautiful cinematography, it is quite impossible to believe that this is Ray's first movie.
The movie may seem to be slow at times, but the story needed this delicate treatment. Definitely a must watch for people who appreciate good old art movies.
