It's hard to speak about this film. Its power is humbling. Dreyer doesn't waste any time and what he has to say is as profound as any film artist gets. It's deeply spiritual and starkly breathtaking.
I feel as if I'm just beginning to skim the surface of this riveting, thought-provoking and enigmatic masterpiece. If you have the patience it may very well move you beyond expression.
