Review of Opera (1987) by Nicholas B — 07 Aug 2007

So this movie isn't good. And I'm a big Argento fan willing to give him a helluva lot of room to cheese up the screen because he scratches an itch. But the main problem is that the main character is so amazingly stupid...so stupid. She's so stupid to the point that you start to think about the likelihood of Argento's camera angles matching up with reality.

So yeah, I could give two hoots about the disturbing erotism of the violence, that comes with the territory of Italian horror. No...the main character was possibly one of the dumbest of any horror movie I've seen.
