Review of Opera (1987) by Tom P — 13 Feb 2011
Pony acting, corny dialogue, dated effects. There is a lot to overcome in enjoying 'Terror at The Opera'. But the audience is rewarded with a tense, creepy atmosphere that get cranked up over the first 30 or so minutes thanks to some gothic imagery, unusual camera angles and ghoulish horror devices, eg pins celotaped to eyes to keep them open.
Unfortunately the film descends into unwatchable bilge in the latter half. Contains brief tits.
