Review of Opera (1987) by Horrorqueen S — 25 Mar 2018
I wanted to like this movie more than I did. I think a lot of the experience was tainted by the fact that I was unable to find a copy in its original Italian language. The dubbed English version I watched was awkward and nonsensical.
However, I did enjoy the story. The mystery, the inclusion of the crows into the plot and the backdrop of the film was original and enjoyable. However, it had so many plot holes. Too many. And it dragged.
It was probably one of my least favourite Argento films.
