Review of Open Range (2003) by Mary N — 22 Aug 2008
Kevin costner had been a guy I thought his career was over. I was wrong this is one of the best westerns I have ever seen it has elements of all the gretest westerns searchers and wild bunch but the film never cheats you and just rips these films off it homages them subtlely.
The end action scene is the best out of any western ever brutal but not savage and just a great popcorn movie but teachs us that a hollywood movie can entertain with great characters not cg enhanced characters.
