Saw this on 11/3/15.
All the Kevin Costner Westerns are slow and Open Range is no different, but it's a bit faster. It's good to see that Costner does not play the overblown hero that he usually play on his films, instead gives Robert Duvall a chance to lead. The last 45 minutes of the film is thrilling and the best things about the film is the combination scenes of Costner and Duvall. Annette Bening is also good here.
