Review of Open Range (2003) by Iggy A — 27 Apr 2014
Eh, fine. A basic old-school Western. With lesser actors, it would not have been worth watching, but it does its job. If you want to be thoroughly entertained, getting the absolute most for your money, find something better. If you are in the mood for a decent story done by competent people all the way around, sit down and enjoy this one (for what its worth).
I'd put Tomestone [1993] or The Long Riders [1980] or Unforgiven [1992] in the DVD player before this one - or any of the James Stewart Westerns (I have a soft spot for Jimmy), but I'm glad I watched Open Range...
