Only God Forgives. This film is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn who also directed Drive. Starring Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas. Ive been dying to see this film since it premiered at Cannes Film Festival.
Now, mainstream audiences will and probably do hate this film, me on the other hand I loved Only God Forgives. This film is really incredible. Its so intriguing and shocking. Refn directs this film in such a magnificent way I havent seen a better use of Cinematography and lighting all year.
However, this film is so much to take in numerous viewings will be required to fully take in everything this film has to offer. The performances are stellar. Gosling gives a subtle but amazing performance.
Ive become a huge fan of Ryan Gosling over the last year or so the guy is just so believable as the characters he tends to portray. By my standards Only God Forgives gets an A+.
