Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Eric F — 24 May 2018
One of the best movies I've ever seen. My whole life I've thought there was evil in me for believing in the kind of Justice served here. The title of the movie is the whole purpose of this piece.
It's not us who decides what is and isn't forgivable. Everything in the universe is about action and reaction, cause and effect, and magnetism. Each character uniquely was served their deserving retribution for the crimes they committed.
The movie shows very clearly how this is the way the universe is designed and meant to be. The only reason this failed so much in America is because most Americans are stupid and don't understand these principles.
Our criminal justice system is a joke at best. Far more criminal even. I would love to vote in captains of police force like the main character in this movie who truly understand the yin and yang of our cosmos and have the power, clarity, and realness to take of criminal activity in this manner.
Everyone here is missing the whole point of this movie and it's probably because you're somewhere on the narcisttic sociopath spectrum. All those who commit unjust deeds have what's is coming for them.
If you have a lot coming for you of course you will be blind to the truth presented here. Everything you put out comes back to you and we should create space in our laws to embody that truth following a similar structure and attitude as presented here.
The main cop was by far one of my all time favorite movie characters. Truly a film I will never forget.
