It tries to work as a full-length feature film but 'Only God Forgives' fails to do so as it has only a television episode's worth of material to be based on. And mostly uninteresting material at that.
The supposed sets and locations are really quite dull however when colors are presented in Refn's typical fashion, the movie becomes dazzling. Kristin Scott Thomas gives an unexpected performance that will knock any of her long-time fans off their feet.
