Review of On the Beach (1959) by Ben C — 11 Feb 2008
Interesting drama, if a little bleak, dealing with a group of people forced to face the fact that while they may have escaped the nuclear holocaust, they're going to die anyway. It's heavy-handed in its anti-nuke message but laudably realistic and depressing in its depiction of hopelessness (see also the animated When The Wind Blows for a similar subject treated well).
