Review of On the Beach (1959) by Davey M — 14 Apr 2008
As a post-apocalyptic setting it doesn't come any better; the horses and electric trains and vast amount of cognac prime (which can not be properly drunk before the atomic clouds covers Australia).
The love triangle between Peck, Gardner and Peck's dead wife, though, is flat out ludicrous to say the least and a major letdown.
