Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Barry S — 10 Feb 2010
I like some things about this movie a lot. I love all the scenes at Piz Gloria. For some reason I just love the idea of Blofeld having a lair atop a mountain in the Swiss Alps that must be reached by cable car.
The rest of the movie is just kind of meh. Diana Rigg is very good though. George Lazenby is very dull as Bond. Not bad, just lacking charisma. Telly Savalas is never truly menacing as Blofeld either.
They should have brought Donald Pleasence back. It's a decent Bond movie, overall.
