I don't get this film, given the good things I've heard and read about it. I rarely don't finish a movie I've started watching, but halfway through this three-hour epic, it was apparent it was a dragged-out, meandering journey with no purpose.
(As Jerry Seinfeld says, "If I wanted a long, boring story with no point to it, I've got my life.") The 70's-ness of it and the cheesy musical interludes certainly didn't help.
