Review of O'Lucky Man (2003) by Jenna I — 28 Mar 2009
Brilliant, underrated film. Fantastic music, surreal, Bunuel-ish imagery and fine acting by a cast that plays multiple roles. Malcolm McDowell gives one of his best performances as a young coffee salesman who gets lost in the dog-eat-dog world of capitalism.
Lindsay Anderson is such a witty and inventive filmmaker. Epic yet understated. Thank God for Netflix, or I probably might never have seen this unique movie.
