Review of Old Acquaintance (1943) by Keenan S — 12 Oct 2012
This is probably Bette Davis's most underrated film. I didn't even know it existed until I came across it in a Bette Davis four-movie pack by TCM. The film is an engaging story of jealousy, drama, romance, and even has funny humor to boot.
Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins have excellent chemistry despite having a real life mutual dislike for each other. If only more people knew about this great film, because it deserves far more attention than it got.
