Oceans Twelve is the squeal to the very popular heist movie Oceans Eleven. I movie I thought was just okay. There is nothing to new in this one. Just like the first, this is not a bad movie, it is just an okay one. The whole cast is back. They all do decent. Just like the first one, George Clooney and Brad Pitt are the best. Like I had said in the Oceans Eleven review, that may be the fact that they get the most screen time out of all the characters. Out of everyone from the first movie, Matt Damon is the one that gets a little bigger role in this one.
Matt Damon's character was the best one to give a bigger role too, so I am glad they did that.This movie has over twelve characters we follow, and are supposed to care about. All the actors who played these characters are actors that can lead a movie on there own, so it is a hard thing to do. They sort of succeed in that, but sometimes you feel that a scene is just there in order to give that actor some more screen time. The movie deals with the many characters just like in the first movie.
It is hard for a movie to get you to stay interested in over twelve characters. This movie keeps you interested in around five of the main characters, and the rest still have a decent amount of screen time. Now here is the plot. It seems Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) has tracked down Danny and his team. He wants them to repay the $160 million dollars they stole from him, plus he wants interest. He already got his money back, but he still wants Danny and his gang to give him extra, he was not happy they stole from him.
If they can do this in two weeks, he won't have them killed. So Danny(George Clooney and his team have to reunite to plan a robbery that will get all Terry's money back. One other thing, Rusty's(Brad Pitt) old girlfriend Isabel Lahiri (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is the worst thing for them, she is a detective. She is hot on there trial. Like the first, this is just a fun movie.
That is it. The script is like the first one as well. This script does include a cameo though, it is decent. Warning: This might be a spoiler. There was one part I really liked, it was the part where Julia Roberts pretends to be Julia Roberts.
I thought that part was funny. Overall, the script has some good stuff and some bad stuff. If you enjoyed the first one, then you will like this one too.
