Review of Not Suitable For Children (2012) by Lisa R — 23 Jul 2012
An Australian romantic dramedy as it isn't funny enough to be classified a comedy. It's a relatively enjoyable experience with a very Australian feel, at the same time as feeling quite different from a lot of Australian cinema.
The performances are all great, even though I couldn't stop thinking that Sarah Snook was doing an Australian interpretation of Emma Stone, even though she did it well.
I got a huge kick out of seeing all the sights around Sydney's inner west, especially a beautiful wide shot from the top of the Enmore silos that feature Ryan Kwanten walking towards the colourful mural on the Twenty10 building (that made me smile a lot).
It became quite predictable and could've used a better editor to cut some scenes in a snappier fashion, but I had a pretty good time.
