Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Alex M — 26 Jan 2009
Herzog takes on classic early German cinema in this beautiful gothic retelling of Dracula. As always, the eye for location and muddy detail is superb, with Herzog's camera very matter of factly recording the fantastic events and apparently concluding that rationality is itself irrational.
