Review of Norwegian Wood (2010) by Rachel P — 14 Jan 2011
"There's no escaping the swoony stateliness of the film's melancholy, where loss and phantoms move like clouds over endless verdant fields.".
There's only one thing I want to see in the adaptation - pain, and as long as pain's concerned, Tran Anh Hung has done it tastefully. Other than that, words stay words, and the film sings its own song.
