Review of Norwegian Wood (2010) by Planet C — 27 Aug 2012
Excellent movie although a bit too serious at times. Visually appealing and terrific background music make this 2 hour romance movie feel shorter. The sex scenes are intense and erotic without being explicit. The best (or interesting) part is that it is a movie directed by half French and half Vietnamese director who doesn't speak a word of Japanese.
However, Akira Kurosawa probably had the same experience when he directed Dersu Uzala. I don't know if I will ever bother to read the novel but I am glad I saw the Movie version.
Midori is so my kind of woman. Alas, she exists in movies only. WATCH IT but for serious cinemagoers.
