Based on the reviews on here, some people loved this movie and others felt like I did. I really wanted to love it, but it left me cold. It's several years since I read the book but I don't remember it being so remote and aloof.
The characters come across as pretentious, self-absorbed and disconnected from each others. Visually I found the movie beautiful in places and extremely annoying in others. I also didn't care much for the score - either how it was chosen or its timing.
In a film with so little dialogue the score plays a huge role. Anyway, this movie never came to life for me. Shame.
