Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by Private U — 13 Sep 2008
Although the plot unravels with far less intensity than it's predecessor (Suicide Club), Noriko's Dinner table provides a nihilistic take on human interaction. Sion Sono successfully blends the prequel to its counterpart without retracing his steps.
Much of the movie is delivered through stoic dialogue which is a bit dry for the average audience; However, if you enjoy morbidly bleak 2 and a half hour long philosophical films, you won't be disappointed.
