Another huge disappointment disguised as a thriller, Owen Wilson is a corporate water specialist sent to an unnamed (most likely Thailand-Burma/Mynamar would have been the obvioius choice since it's run by a military junta), but things go south immediately after checking into a nice hotel.

The "rebels" are maurading and somehow get a tank but still unclear who's side the tank is on. Anyway Pierce Brosnan is a quasi MI5/MI6 agent who started the whole mess. You see Hollywood once again bashes corporate America this time for bringing clean water technology to the savages.

It';s our fault, isn't it always? The supposed motive for destroying the whole place and shooting everyone on sight, execution style is "blood for water" or some such revenge for despoiling the natives.

So check off the good guys bad guys: Good guys-locals saving their coutry from greedy Americans, bad guys-greedy Americans/Brits, good guys- a few locals who show compassion, hide the family from the bad guys, lend a hand, weapon or boat, bad guys-American Embassy (here the Embassy is wiped out worse than Benghazi-how'd that happen?), ggod guys-Vietnamese who take the family in for asylum.

This film is totally implausible and dopey to boot. Avoid this film and whatever country it was supposed to depict.
