Review of Network (1976) by Costache R — 13 Aug 2012
Staggeringly brilliant satire about the state of television follows a last place network whose stock begins to rise after they become willing to air anything for ratings. Won just about every Oscar (except Best Picture which went to Rocky).
Sadly, this film has become less a cautionary tale and more a crystal ball into the nadir of entertainment. In the running for best screenplay of all time.
