Review of Narc (2002) by Chris H — 02 Jun 2014
Gritty and unpleasant crime thriller has strong performances by Jason Patric and Ray Liotta as two cops assigned to track down the killer of an undercover narcotics agent.
Writer-director Joe Carnahan keeps things dark and violent as we're taken into the life of Patric's character who's trying to rebound after accidently shooting a pregnant woman during an undercover bust 18 months prior - too bad he's been paired with psycho cop Liotta (and that the case drags him deeper into the criminal world than he'd of liked).
Ends on a downbeat note, but the entire thing isn't exactly happy-go-lucky - see "Narc" if you're looking for a on-edge cop drama.
