Review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) by Sophie M — 30 Mar 2018

This review is on behalf of my 4 and 3 year old kids. They have sat through this movie (i.e. in their seats!) 3 times in the cinema now. To engage our kids for this long is no mean feat. I enjoyed the movie as an adult also and it is always good to see female heroes and pirates etc.

The friendship messages through the film are fairly sound and they seem to make their way through to the kids who sing and talk about the importance of friendship frequently. So, whatever the critics' reviews, the makers have managed to get through to their target audience.
