Review of Mumford (1999) by Codie E — 24 Oct 2007
A well meaning film that strolls along, and I don't mean this in a bad way. The film doesn't feel long but has plenty of room to breath and gives us just enough time with each of the characters introduced.
The cast are a joy to watch, in most cases just having a lot of fun; Jason Lee, Zooey Deschanel, Ted Danson, my main criticism though is with Loren Dean, while not putting in a bad performance, he just doesn't have enough charisma in the lead role.
A role that would have been perfect for Kasdan regular, Kevin Kline in the eighties.
