I've read the books, and for me this movie has been quite disappointing. I think it's boring and empty. Emma, as important as a character she is in the story, is nowhere here. It's not just her peculiarity, Emma's character has completely disappeared.
Story makes no sense at all. The only thing worth watching here is Eva Green. I recommend just reading the books, they're fairly good.
