Tim Burton's unique style was demonstrated well but the movie was over-long and grew tedious. Potentially very interesting character plays and interactions were inadequately explored at the expense of the movie slipping disappointingly into a standard very un-peculiar Hollywood narrative with unnecessary and typical action scenes reminiscent of just one more superhero movie.
Not Tim Burton's best work. Only watch it if you are bored and have an evening to kill.
