Review of Where Eagles Dare (1968) by Wayne S — 26 May 2018
One of the silliest movies I've ever seen. An absurdly complex plot, in which everything goes according to plan, helped along by the "fact" that no German soldier can hit the broad side of a barn with a submachine gun, while the heroes, using the exact same weapon, never miss.
Hundreds of Germans shoot at the heroes, which results in hundreds of Germans shot, with not a single scratch on any of our heroes. Laughably ridiculous to anyone except very small, not very bright children.
