Midnight Special is smart, gripping, and hard to look away, not following in the footsteps of the traditional sci-fi thriller genre while paying homage to some classic Steven Spielberg sci-fi films (specifically Close Encounters) and very well acted, it's a Midnight Special worth watching any time of the day!
