Review of Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983) by Brian M — 26 Dec 2010
It has been a while since I have seen Mickey's Christmas Carol, but I can still remember how much I enjoyed it. I think it was cool how they took this really sad story, and made it funny, while still sticking with the storyline.
Goofy as Bob Marley, and the Giant from Mickey and the Beanstalk as one of the ghosts was brilliant. I think they must have thrown every Disney toon they could find into the movie. And, what a better way to get people to see them again then in a Christmas movie. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it is rarely shown on TV anymore. Like most classic Disney stuff, if you want to see it you have to buy it. I wonder if they would be doing that if Disney was alive.
I would write a more detailed review, but the only reason I am writing this one, is because I just watched A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey, and it wasn't anywhere near as fun or entertaining as Mickey. Too Bad.
