The best work of Lars von Trier so far in my opinion. No film maker before has been able to capture the beauty of the world's end the way he does. What I loved most was the fantastic ending. No last minute savior, no last attempt to save the earth, not meaningful last words by the protagonists.
Von Trier kept it. all plain and simple. And although one should feel bad about what happens Melacholia is at the same time mysteriously uprising.
