Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Mike M — 23 Nov 2009
An affectionate if strangely conventional choice of project for Linklater... If you know the references, it'll make for cosy, Sunday-teatime fun, but it's a Welles movie that takes its cue from McKay's Orson: it looks the part, it sounds the part, and yet remains ever so slightly lightweight.
Still, you've got to like the idea Efron's participation might sway the "High School Musical" crowd into tracking down DVDs of "Chimes of Midnight", or gathering together in their PJs to sit through "The Trial".
