Review of Mary Poppins (1964) by Lee C — 08 Jan 2013
The word 'classic' is used far too much, yet if any movie deserved the accolade it is this one, Julie Andrews is so good one would wonder how any actress of any era could top this performance, yet we know now that this is just how she is, as she proved a year later in The Sound Of Music, she never really seems to be acting, which is a delight watch, and will continue to be watched, perhaps forever, as an example of family cinema at its very best.
