Review of Marwencol (2010) by Tor M — 08 Aug 2011
The tragic story of a man being badly beaten up at outside a bar and his way back to a normal life. Mark finds therapy in placing dolls and action figures in a home made fantasy town and it's facsinating to watch him in these surroundings.
It felt a bit slow, and there wasn't much added to the story he told us. It was the town, the dolls, Mark and the town again, being built by Mark. After a while we got to see more of Marks lovely pictures and I really found his creations terrific when put in to the picture context.
A sad story of a cigarette-loving, interesting man that really does a great job enjoying and doing what he does best. Everything else seem put behind.
