Where "Dogville" was Lars von Trier's first venture into what he calls "fusion films," this one is a much more distilled, more brutal bulls-eye for him. While "Dogville" critiqued America, "Manderlay" is a calculated condemnation of Bush's America, and of the international watchdog policy his administration has adopted.
