I am not a huge Shakespeare aficionado, but ever since I read it in High School, I've always liked the story of MacBeth. It made me kind of understand the whole Shakespeare thing. This adaptation is a fairly faithful adaptation, with some lovely production design.
Fassbender and Cotillard are both great actors to lead this, though I somehow felt disconnected to Fassbender at times. He was maybe too subtle in his performance. Looks great though, and Cotillard is really good as Lady MacBeth.
