Review of Macbeth (2015) by Harry B — 06 Oct 2017
Macbeth - a Shakespearean play being far removed from true history, this film is a well-assembled interpretation of The Scottish Play itself. Beautiful scenery, mysterious foggy shots overlaid with Shakespearean dramatic dialogue give the film eerie and ill-fated sense.
I would have preferred a Scottish actress portray Lady Macbeth, but Marion Cotillard's performance is impeccable albeit in English accent.
