Review of M (1931) by Mike J — 26 May 2009
Amazing. Fritz Lang's first 'talkie' and what is essentially the first thriller/procedural about a serial killer in cinema. Despite being done more than 75 years ago, there were a lot of elements here that reminded me of some of the best procedurals of our time (e.
G., David Fincher's Zodiac). Very visual, very articulate, very artful. If you don't like B&W, foreign films or old movies, stay away, this movie is most definitely not for you. If you're curious the period or cinema, check this one out.
