Review of M (1931) by Patrik E — 03 May 2011
Generally considered the first serial killer movie, M is an early sound film that makes use of tricks that we today consider ordinary, but that were ingenious at the time. Interesting in changing the initial bad guy into a victim later inthe film, forcing us to relate to a despicable character.
With a haunting atmosphere and social criticism that stings even 80 years later, M is a film to remember.
