Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Bob K — 17 Jul 2008
Enthralling, understated, truly independent film version of William Golding's deeply affecting book. No screenplay, just a devoted, loyal adaptation of a daring, enduring story. It is unquestionably dated but nevertheless showcases terrific, evocative performances from the kids involved and authoritative theatre-styled direction from Peter Brook.
