Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Patrick Y — 06 Feb 2016
While still remaining faithful to the source material, Peter Brook's adaptation of Lord of the Flies conjures beautiful and terrifying imagery of a lawless society created by children left to their own devices.
It's a bleak, miserable parable for the human condition that couldn't be replicated nowadays, but at the same time it's fantastic to see such a story play out on celluloid.
